Hello

200 Words Or Less

In my mid-thirties I asked friends what career they thought best suited me. I was told “therapist”, “art teacher”, and (my favorite) “forest witch.” While I would love living in the forest intimidating locals and messing around with spells, until I can monetize it I tend to veer toward creative endeavors with like-minded professionals.

I’ve been a resident of Los Angeles for nearly thirteen lucky years, originally hailing from Minnesota. The traits that remain from my upbringing include ending any gathering with a strong, “Whelp…” and being nice to a suspicious degree. I am curious about everything, love deep conversations, and prefer time in nature. My favorite plant is a sapling redwood tree named Hank.

In my leisure time I engage in nature-based crafts, dabble in Victorian dances, throw axes in a weekly league, create bead art on the back of vintage jean jackets, improve my catch-popcorn-in-mouth high score (currently holding strong at 41), discuss the commentary modern horror films make about societal issues, and attempt to normalize conversational portmanteaus as often as possible. I dream of one day having an in-ground compost pit.
